Describe what software you used and why you used it.
The software i used was inkscape. I used this software as i found it the easiest to use. Also, i found it much easier then pencil as i found the victor layer and bitnap layers difficult to use. Therefore i thought that inkscape would be much easier to use and I had more experience with it because i barely used pencil. After i had created my frames on inkscape i used Gimp to create an animation from it. Then i used google docs to upload the aimation to my blog page.
Describe the process you followed.
First i created the frames on inkscape, starting off with the background. From that i traced the pin by copying the image from google. Then i made the bowling ball. After that i creating my 200 frames, i used gimp to make it into an animation. Once my animation was created i uploaded it onto google docs and then put the hyperlink onto my blog.
What image format were you saving your work in during development of the frames?
i saved my work as SVG format
What image format did you save your frames as?
I saved my frames as PNG format.
What frame rate were you aiming for?
75milliseconds
What is he final size of your animation?
1.71MB
What difficulties did you encounter and how did you overcome them?
I had encountered difficulties such as;
- how to use gimp
- what to save the image as whilst still creating my frames on inkscape.
- How to save frames on inkscape
- how to upload the animation onto my blog.
- how to trace on inkscape
I had overcome all these problems by asking Mr Lennon and getting help from my class mates. Also the videos uploaded on stundent net helped me out.
